OPI Spotted

Sorry for the lack of posting my friends... Retail during "back to school" season is just crazy! But I'm back!

I have recently made friends with a fellow blogger/  nail polish addict named Sabrina .. We decided to be "polish friends and send each other random little polish gifts! It is so fun!!! Being that she of from France of course the first thing I kindly asked her for was a bottle of Spotted!!!! and guess what!!!!!.....

This is what she sent me!!!! I was soooo excited! Sabrina picked a BEAUTIFUL polish in a color I oddly didn't even have in my collection... PURPLE! and a very sparkly purple too!!! whoohoo! well I'm sure you can guess.. I played with this stuff ASAP!!!

This is such a beautiful color by itself!! I actually wore it on its own for a couple days then added the Spotted on top...

Let remind you that sparkle and black are 2 of my FAVORITE things! lol
I tried to get a good picture...but I promise this looks amazing IRL..

So what you you think of OPI Spotted??
If you own it.. whats your favorite color to put under?

Thank you again to Sabrina for being my "polish Pal" and I will be shipping your next package soon!!!

Zebra!!

Good Morning!!! Just droppin' by to show you ladies what Im currently wearing! I Go back to work today after being on Vacation, so I knew I wanted to do gel and stamping and at the same time wanted to try out my new glitters from the born pretty store!.... so many things to choose from right! every time I get something new I cant wait to try it! so this kinda ended up a mixture of all the things I wanted to try, thrown onto 1 mani! haha

I used black CND polish and used white Konad polish to stamp my Image.. I must say I was a little overwhelmed with this mani, Its most defiantly the "busiest" mani I have ever had..

On my accent nail I applied red and silver diamond shaped glitters... they didnt come out as straight as I would have liked, but they still looked cute! :)

Thank your stopping by!!!

Kardashian glitter time

Here we go ladies.. I was so sad about the last gradient I HAD to try it again! this time GLITTER baby!!! So, just an FYI I am NOT an obsessed Kardashian fan I JUST SO HAPPEN to love the colors in this collection.. haha that being said,

I used: Nicole by OPI; Kendall on the katwalk. follow me on glitter & wear something spar-kylie
Konad black polish, MASH plate #41

I used the makeup sponge technique again, but as we all know glitter is a little hard to get off so clean up on this one was a little harder. I love how it looked just like this, but I wanted to add a little somethin more...

Hello ZEBRA!! I love it even more now!!! what do you think??!!

what is your favorite type of gradient? glitter?? certain colors together? stamping on top?

Gradient sunset

I have never done a gradient Mani before so here it goes.... lol  I have seen soo many tutorials and great pictures of these that I had to try it out! I started off by using a makeup sponge and LOVED the results!!!

I used: Pure Ice-excuse me
OPI- A roll in the Hague, color so hot it berns

This is a pic with out a top coat because I wanted to try layering it with black so that the bright shows though..... And I TOTALLY messed it up putting stickers on it :( it peeled off my colors..
Am I supposed to put a clear coat first??? then layer?

Anyhoo this is the only nail I was willing to show... haha
This would have been a pretty manicure...but sad to say I had to take it off right after this post... going to have to try gradient again soon...

Thank you ladies for stopping by!!!

Monochromatic

As I was commenting on blog yesterday, I passed by a challenge that Polish art addiction was having: Monochromatic theme. This sounded FUN I have never played with a nail challenge before! So I went with BLUE!!  You ladies should play along it will be fun!!!

I used: Salley Hansen; Blue me away & Blue it, white Konad polish
Konad plate #M27 fish

I tried to stamp In a light blue.. but the image did not show so I hope using white doesn't disqualify me : /

In this pic I tried to capture that on each dark blue nail I added pieces of light blue glitter to represent bubbles.

Skull retry..

Hello! just a quick post to share my 2nd attempt at using my skull stamp from MASH.. I was very happy with how this mani turned out!!! I was anxious to try skulls agian and also anxious to use my new OPI "A roll in the hague" so they kinda got stuck together hehe. For my accent nail I used  Nicole by OPI "Follow me on glitter" the only thing I DON'T like about it is that its a little Halloween-ish for me as far as orange and black.

wacha think??? Do you like skull attempt #1 or #2?

thanks for stopping by!!!

Leopard sticker strips

I sat and sat and sat looking at my polishes and couldn't decide on what to try! so I took the cheating way out and just put some Sally Hansen stickers on! hehe I love to have an accent nail, so I went opposite, busy nails with a simple accent nail!  I like it! simple and quick!

Skulls and Fire

Hello all!!!! I wish I was more excited to share this mani with you all today but LET ME TELL YOU.... this mani gave me the biggest issues URG! This is another Gel Mani with a little more stamping. My first "round" of gel got wrinkly to I had to SOAK that off and start again.. THEN.. I had silver and black flames that looked crappy, so I had to remove that and start that AGAIN! in between all this I kept getting cotton stringy crap in my polishes.... SOOOOO over it! hahaha but I had to at least show you my attempt because this flame and skull is what SOLD me on this MASH set. hopefully next time I will be more excited about it! lolol
I added pink Swarovski crystals to his eyes.

I used:
CND- Asphalt
Konad polish: black and white
Stamping plates: MASH 29 and 48

Experiment

Good morning ladies!!! today I wanted to share with you a idea I had the other day.... "I wonder if I put a layer of clear gel on top of REGULAR polish if would stay longer?" I LOVE gel, but there are Defiantly not as many fun color options so I wanted to try this out! I work in retail, so "regular polish" IF I am lucky will last me 2 days, chipping on my first day usually.
So what I did was I applied my gel base coat, wiped off with rubbing alcohol, applied my regular polish (let dry completely) then applied my gel top coat!
These pictures are after 1 day of working!! I'm so excited! if this works out, it might be my new permanent way of doing my nails!
I USED:
CND: Tutti Frutti
OPI:  Fly
MASH plate: 45
Konad special white polish

4th of July

I finally got around to doing my 4th of July Mani! I was waiting for my white Konad polish to arrive! whoohoo and it finally did yesterday! Today I used my MASH plate #49 to do my stars and all my polishes are from Sally Hansen (polishes aren't in the best of shape so I decided to leave my polish picture out for today) except for the stars using Konad :)

I used a eye shadow applicator to sponge the red and the blue on my 2 nails! So call me a begginner, but I am actually pretty proud of how this turned out!!!
Is anyone else planning on a 4th of July Mani!??

Shatter

So I received 2 of the 4 Konad polishes yesterday, silver and gold. is it just me or did I totally WASTE my money on these? maybe I'm doing something wrong? they seem super thin and the image doesn't show very well :(   maybe I need to get back on YouTube and watch more videos, because as of right now I am very discouraged. I hope the black and white are much more vibrant (fingers crossed).. Does any one have helpful tips for me? I would really appreciated them.

Enough complaining for one post lol.. the highlight of my evening was my Fiance came home last night with 4 new polishes for lil ol' me!!! whooo hoooo!! 4 polishes from the OPI Spider man collection! can you imagine my excitement!? haha so today I wanted to show you one of them...

First I applied 2 thick coats of  Essie: Shine of times
Then a thin coat of: OPI Blue Shatter

I really like how this looks IRL but in the pictures not so much.. next time I will choose a darker base color.

                          Essie: Shine of times

I ended up choosing Across the Universe!  I love how it has a combo of  green and blue glitters.

So sparkly!!! I just love it! I applied 3 coats, but did NOT add a base color. Do you have any of Deborah Lippmann's polishes? if so do you add a base color? thank you so much for stopping by today ladies!!! and thank you to my 5 followers so far for giving me a chance!!!! my hubby downloaded photo shop to my computer last night, so hopefully little by little my pictures get better! :)

Pink Wed #1

Hello ladies! I just stumbled upon a "club" that Challenges us to were pink on our nails on WED's, see the details here. This seems kinda fun!!! I know it only Tues, but I was too excited to hurry up and play along!!! here is my take on the challenge for this week!

First 2 coats of:  "All Kendall-ed up"
please excuse my dry cuticles I used acetone to remove previous mani and
it leaves me dry until I add my cuticle oil.

Applied my french mani stickers in a variety of shapes, with one coat of black
helpful hint: AS SOON AS you polish, remove sticker.. If you let dry even a little,
it ruins the "crisp" line from sticker

added dots with my dotting tool

Nicole by OPI: All Kendall-ed up
OPI; I lily love you
Orly: liquid vinyl

thank you for stopping by!!! I promise I am gonna find a way to get better pictures.. not liking mine at all!!!!

Gel Time!

Good Morning Ladies! I just wanted to stop by and show you my current Mani!
I semi recently invested in a UV lamp to do gel polishes..I was spending $20-$25 a pop to go get them done every few weeks! yikes!!! so this is saving me some money! haha
Well of course the lamp you buy the retailer tell you " you can only use this gel polish with this lamp, or else it won't cure" Well..... I totally NOT settling for that!!! haha so I have been buying different brands little by little to see if they work!.... and so far they are working FINE!!!

I tried adding dots with my dotting tool... I deff need more practice!

 For this Manicure I used:

CND: purple purple, hotski to tchotchke and aspalt
RED CARPET: 162 glitteratzzi *( my new brand I tried)

Hello!!!

Hello everyone!!! I am brand new with my new nail blog!!! yeeey!!! I have been sooo inspired by so many nail blogs latley that I thought.."why not!"

so for anyone out there that has suggestions for me pleeease don't hesitate to help a sister out! haha

I like to play around with regular polishes but also with Gel polishes too! I have tried CND brand and have slowly been trying different brands too (one at a time to make sure they cure with my lamp).I have recently ordered me a couple of cool "tools" to help be be more creative with my nails too! this week I received my french manicure stickers from ebay, dotting tools and few polishes from amazon! now all I'm waiting on is my MASH stamping set! I cant wait!!!

Anyways! enough of that... on to my first manicure post!!!! drum droll please! haha

I have had these little "gold rocks" for years and years, I actually bought them for my scrap booking, but I'm thinkin I LIKE them on nails better!!! haha what do you think?

gold rock flakes

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!
